Experience
Grant is a Partner in our Commercial Disputes & Transactions Group in Melbourne. Grant has practiced in commercial disputes and litigation for over 11 years, is well connected in the industry and a trusted professional advisor who combines expert legal advice with astute commercial judgement and business acumen.
Grant specialises in dispute resolution across a range of areas, acting for medium to large corporate entities and individuals. Areas of expertise include, banking and finance, director and shareholder disputes, owners corporations and fraud and asset recovery.
Grant is collaborative and strategic in his approach to providing advice and problem solving. He has a proven track record in high profile and large complex disputes, most notably in National Australia Bank v Rose [2015] VSC 10 and the Essendon Football Club drugs saga from 2014 - 2015.
Whether advising on commercial matters or litigious disputes he is an outside the box thinker with a singular focus of achieving the best outcomes and solutions for his clients.
Grant has experience and expertise representing and advising clients in the following areas:
- Director and company related disputes, such as partnership and shareholder disputes;
- Banking and finance acting on behalf of lenders and borrowers;
- Insolvency and restructuring, working with insolvency and bankruptcy practitioners to wind up or restructure companies in credit distress;
- Owners Corporation's providing advice to they and their managers on property, leasing and committee related issues;
- Fraud and the recovery of assets;
- Franchise disputes; and
- Australian sports law, including anti-doping, governance and team selection and disciplinary tribunals.
