Wrapping Up an Eventual Year in Workers Compensation
What a year it’s been! 2025 has brought some of the most significant changes to workers compensation in NSW that we’ve seen in a very long time, and we’ve been proud to navigate these developments alongside you.
As we head into 2026, the spotlight turns to the next big step - implementing the reforms introduced under the Workers Compensation Legislation Amendment Act (NSW) 2025. The Act received assent on 24 November, and while the official commencement date is still to be confirmed, we’ll keep you informed every step of the way as details emerge on when and how these changes will roll out.
We’ll also continue to keep a close eye on the Workers Compensation Legislation Amendment (Reform and Modernisation) Bill 2025, which may come back before NSW Parliament in 2026. We will be monitoring its progress and sharing insights with you as things unfold.
For now, we want to take a moment to thank you for your trust and collaboration throughout this busy year. From all of us at Turks, we wish you a happy, safe, and relaxing holiday season. And if you need us over the break, we will be available to help right through the Christmas and New Year period.
