Mathilde is a Senior Associate in Turks’ Life Insurance, Superannuation and Financial Advice team, based in the Sydney office.

Mathilde specialises in life insurance and superannuation disputes, with particular experience in total and permanent disability (TPD) and income protection (IP) claims. She is highly familiar with issues arising under the Insurance Contracts Act 1984 (Cth), including avoidance and variation, as well as superannuation matters such as death benefit distributions and disputes involving policy interpretation and cover.

Mathilde acts for insurer and trustee clients across litigated and advisory matters. She has also represented financial advice licence holders in court proceedings involving inappropriate, misleading or negligent advice claims. Her experience includes managing complex disputes and advising on policy interpretation and coverage issues, including commencement and cessation of cover.
