Melanie is a Senior Associate in Turks’ General Insurance team, based in the Melbourne office.

Melanie has a strong background in general insurance litigation and is recognised for her client centric approach, guiding matters through complex, high value and multi layered disputes.

Her work focuses on subrogated motor vehicle and property damage claims, complex property damage recovery, and fraud and indemnity disputes across a variety of jurisdictions within Australia, predominantly in Victoria.

Her experience appearing and advising across multiple jurisdictions, including Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, enables her to navigate varied procedural environments and guide clients through the full lifecycle of a matter.

Before joining Turks, she commenced her practice in motor vehicle disputes, focusing solely on recovery litigation. This background enables her to deliver clear, practical advice and commercially focused solutions, particularly when engaging with key stakeholders in the insurance litigation space.
