Legislative update
It’s Confirmed – Wide Scale Changes to NSW Workers Scheme Passed by Parliament
On Monday, 17 November 2025 we were advised that the Legislative Council had passed amendments to the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme and noted that the amendments still needed to be passed by the Legislative Assembly.
At approximately 4:30pm on Tuesday, 18 November 2025 the Legislative Assembly passed the amendments.
This means that the Workers Compensation Legislation Amendment Bill 2025 will now be referred to the NSW Governor for Assent, following which it will become law.
For a summary of the changes contained in the Bill, please see our TurkAlert from 17 November 2025 here.
