Natasha is highly motivated lawyer with an enduring enthusiasm for workplace relations law. Her clients include employers and employees in sectors such as independent education and early learning, local government, aged care, social and community services, scientific research, utilities, and the not-for-profit sector.
Natasha advises clients on all aspects of employment and industrial relations laws, including employee entitlements in the context of cross-border transfers of business, enterprise bargaining and enterprise agreement disputes, executive employment and associated corporate governance issues, ill and injured workers, award classification, and post-employment restraints.
She has a particular interest in assisting employers with managing difficult staffing matters, such as misconduct and underperformance, underpayments, discrimination claims, and safeguarding / child safety.
Having begun her legal career at a union dealing with workplace disputes, Natasha appears regularly in the Fair Work Commission and other courts and tribunals. She is adept at securing highly favourable outcomes for clients in litigated matters.
Natasha is known for her commercially pragmatic and strategic advice, which is strongly informed by her litigation experience and designed to minimise the risk of future disputes. Her sensitivity to cultural issues that may affect the outcome of a matter is particularly valuable to employers who work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
Natasha is an engaging public speaker and has been invited to national and international conferences to speak on workplace laws. She also delivers professional development training on employment and industrial relations matters for senior leaders and lawyers.
